I decided to give blogging about George Rodrigue and his artwork a try, because he is an interesting person, an incredibly creative individual, and there’s something worth writing about (and sharing) going on around here nearly everyday.
Before starting, however, I do hope to narrow the scope of questions and comments as follows, lest I get overwhelmed. We receive hundreds of questions a month through our website, and I don’t think I could deal with that adequately in this format. So….
If you want to purchase or sell artwork, learn an insurance value, get a book signed, inquire about a donation for your non-profit, submit your child’s Blue Dog rendering for our website, learn about the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts, request an interview, obtain an education packet, download a screensaver, purchase books, calendars, or notecards, join our mailing list, or basically discuss anything other than questions about the history, style, and subject matter of the art of George Rodrigue, please send your questions to info@georgerodrigue.com.
For a brief biography of the artist, a timeline of events, an archive of articles and television appearances, gallery information, and photos of recent works visit www.georgerodrigue.com.
Thank you for reading, for your comments, and for your interest in the art of George Rodrigue. I’ll do my best to keep this up-

Wendy,
Very interesting and fun to reflect on the earliest days. I never bought out of the trunk of his car, but I did start many, many years ago and Margo and I cherish every painting and poster we have. I'm sure there are others more qualified to make the claim, but I call our home "Rodrigue North."
As Matilda and Josie have grown up and moved out to places of their own, our collection has been raided for their own homes. But visiting them is always a treat because when I can't figure out where the crawfish poster has gone or the Huey Long, I find in on their living room walls.
Keep up the blog. Subscribe me please as I can't figure out how to do it.
Best, Ken
Wendy- Excellent idea. Can't wait to read your Blog thoughts.

Hi Anon, Thank you for your inquiry. The artwork is not by me, but by my husband, George Rodrigue. If you look down the list on the right side of this blog, you'll find everything you need to know and more. Every post is about him and his paintings and background. Just explore the links and enjoy- Best regards, Wendy
