Appraisals

Art Appraisals Done By the Best!

A personal note of thanks to our superb art appraiser.

Dana Holland-Beickert, Curator of the Life & Legacy Foundation, is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and has more than 20 years in the field of appraising fine art.  Most importantly, she has an extensive knowledge of the art of George Rodrigue.  Since 2006, she has curated or co-curated more than twenty exhibitions on Rodrigue’s art and produced some 400 professional appraisals on his wide range of work.

Dana’s independent reports for us are written in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and IRS guidelines as well as the ISA code of ethics and writing procedure.

Why do we do appraisals?  Art appraisals are necessary to document an art collection and protect our investment against loss.  Fine art may not be covered under an insurance policy and often requires special consideration.  Insurance companies have expressed their preference for appraisals written by qualified, accredited reliable appraisers with established expertise and professional training in appraisal principles, theory, ethics, law, and procedure to guarantee we are properly insured.

Though she has helped us extensively with Life & Legacy programming, Dana also works independently on insurance appraisals, as well as reports for estate planning, tax purposes, charitable contribution, or damage claims.

For more information about Dana or to contact her for your own appraisal needs, please email Dana Holland-Beickert at dana@memphisartappraisals.com .

Appraisal services are provided independently of Life & Legacy and are offered solely by Dana Holland-Beickert in her individual capacity through a separate entity.
