Mar 18, 2025 ALEXANDRIA: Join Wendy Rodrigue for a brief tour of The River is the Road: Paintings by George Rodrigue featuring 52 artworks from 1968-2013, including Louisiana Landscapes, Cajun Folklife, Mystical Blue Dogs and, always, Surrealism, exploring the river in Rodrigue’s paintings as a metaphor for the journey of life.
Organized by the George Rodrigue Life & Legacy Foundation, exhibition continues at the Alexandria Museum of Art through June 21, 2025. Curated by Dana Holland-Beickert and Olivia Helmer.
