Rodrigue’s “I Live in Two Worlds” at the Louisiana State Archives

Jul 19, 2023 LOUISIANA STATE ARCHIVES: George Rodrigue’s 2010 painting, “I Live in Two Worlds” (24×18, acrylic on canvas), is part of the exhibition, Written in the Stars: Celebrating 100 Louisiana Luminaries, currently on view at the Louisiana State Archives in Baton Rouge through December 8, 2023.

Life & Legacy’s Curator of Exhibitions, Dana Holland-Beickert, and L&L Founder Wendy Rodrigue take a closer look at George Rodrigue’s swirling, surrealistic canvas, plus commentary related to his portrait of Governor Kathleen Blanco and upcoming plans at the Bayou Teche Museum.
