Wendy Rodrigue’s opening remarks during a new exhibition of her late husband’s paintings at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur, Alabama. During the pre-opening week, Wendy lead school tours of the exhibition, hosting 800 children, plus families, educators, and community groups.
George Rodrigue: The River is the Road continues through April 7, 2024. Sponsored by Singing River Trail and the Alabama State Council on the Arts. This exhibition was conceived of and organized by the Life & Legacy Foundation, and includes 4 additional museums: the Masur Museum in Monroe, Louisiana; the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center in Hendersonville, Tennessee; the Alexandria Museum of Art in Alexandria, Louisiana; and previously, the West Baton Rouge Museum in Port Allen, Louisiana.
